Patrick Falvey Moderates, Speaks, and Shares Expertise to Advance Biopharma Industry

The CDMO outsourcing market will experience a period of growth due to the expansion of the pharmaceutical sector. So selecting a CDMO that is a good fit is critical.

LBG’s Patrick Falvey has been asked to help moderate the Biopharma & Lifesciences Connected Live conference and exhibition on January 25 in Cork, Ireland. He is excited about the opportunity to engage with experts in the industry and is looking forward to fulfilling this role.

Two topics that Mr. Falvey will moderate include the following:

  • The challenges of compliance in life sciences and biopharma
  • The growing importance of sustainability in the life sciences.

Mr. Falvey, who has more than 30 years of research, managerial, and technical experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries and is recognized as a SME, has also been invited to speak at the event. He will share his insight and expertise on CDMO selection strategy and process.

His presentation will address LBG’s customized approach to successful CDMO selection, which includes several factors, such as cost/capital, capacity, competence, and compliance; CMC considerations; Quality considerations; engagement and transparency; timelines and project alignment; and long-term perspective.

“CDMO selection strategy and process is a subject that is close to my heart, and LBG has significant expertise in this area,” says Mr. Falvey. “The selection of the correct CDMO (really your future partner) can lead to successful clinical trials, approved NDAs, and product approvals. However, a poor CDMO selection can potentially damage a company and lead to future failures. So a ‘First Time Right’ approach is a must.”

Mr. Falvey has held various positions of leadership in Operations, Quality Assurance, and Compliance and believes strongly in collaboration among individuals and groups to effect positive change. He has worked with a variety of companies, including large pharmaceutical companies and start-up ventures.

“I am thrilled that Patrick will be speaking at this event,” says LBG’s Georgia Sloboda. “LBG has an established history of working with clients and CDMO partners to meet their business objectives.”

The Biopharma & Lifesciences Connected Live conference and exhibition offers an opportunity for attendees to hear presentations from leading national and international experts in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
